Journal Entries

Today, Tuesday, is the day kids in Barcelona go to school from three days of no school. They will go to school from 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM. All adults that work on this day go to work and come back when they get off of work. On the citizens free time, they can do what they please as long as they follow the Barcelona rules. No one in Barcelona goes to school or work on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Citizens of Barcelona can practice their religion whenever they need to. In the citizens free time, they can go to parks, YMCA, restaurants, visit friends, family, etc., the beach, go see movies, and do other things or go to other places in Barcelona.


Today, Christmas eve, is a holiday and whenever there is a holiday in Barcelona, people do not work and kids don't go to school. But during Christmas eve, people who work go to work and gets off at 7:00 and can go take the day off to celebrate. No one works or goes to school on Christmas or in any holiday of the year in Barcelona. After 7:00, most of the people get things done around their homes to celebrate, anyone can choose not to celebrate, but will still get the day off. Most of the people stay up late until the next day. The day after Christmas day, some people go to work and the children that go to school don't go to school until the next week.


Today, Barcelona's Anniversary, is also an important holiday and no one goes to school or work and any citizen can choose to go to the Barcelona festival in the beach of Barcelona. The festival of Barcelona celebrates Barcelona's Anniversary, it has art, music, free food, activities, entertainment, and is followed by a speech by the leader, Juan Hernandez.
