Barcelona, a place where you are not judged by the color of your skin, race, religion, nor where you came from. In Barcelona, you can be born a citizen, or make yourself one. Anyone in Barcelona can work where they want if they have the skill for it and can live where ever they want to live. Everyone in Barcelona are equal. In Barcelona, anyone can do whatever they want as long as they all follow the Barcelona rules. These rules keep Barcelona a beautiful, safe, clean, drug-free, racism-free, and equal place that mostly anyone can live in. Barcelona can be the best place for anyone to live in.

I chose a chameleon to be the Animal for Barcelona because it can change color to match its surroundings. The chameleon fits with Barcelona because in Barcelona, Everyone ( the surrounding) votes on what they want and when rules change, Barcelona ( the chameleon) adapts to the new changes.

Journal Entries

Today, Tuesday, is the day kids in Barcelona go to school from three days of no school. They will go to school from 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM. All adults that work on this day go to work and come back when they get off of work. On the citizens free time, they can do what they please as long as they follow the Barcelona rules. No one in Barcelona goes to school or work on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Citizens of Barcelona can practice their religion whenever they need to. In the citizens free time, they can go to parks, YMCA, restaurants, visit friends, family, etc., the beach, go see movies, and do other things or go to other places in Barcelona.


Today, Christmas eve, is a holiday and whenever there is a holiday in Barcelona, people do not work and kids don't go to school. But during Christmas eve, people who work go to work and gets off at 7:00 and can go take the day off to celebrate. No one works or goes to school on Christmas or in any holiday of the year in Barcelona. After 7:00, most of the people get things done around their homes to celebrate, anyone can choose not to celebrate, but will still get the day off. Most of the people stay up late until the next day. The day after Christmas day, some people go to work and the children that go to school don't go to school until the next week.


Today, Barcelona's Anniversary, is also an important holiday and no one goes to school or work and any citizen can choose to go to the Barcelona festival in the beach of Barcelona. The festival of Barcelona celebrates Barcelona's Anniversary, it has art, music, free food, activities, entertainment, and is followed by a speech by the leader, Juan Hernandez.

I think you should come live in my Utopia. It is a clean,beautiful,safe,drug free, place where there are plenty of jobs and you can live where you want. And best of all, everyone is equal in Barcelona and racism is not permitted! Education is very important in Barcelona, school starts on Tuesdays and ends on Fridays and college is free. You can do a lot of things in Barcelona. I remember back in the society that i used to live in that there was a lot of violence, drugs, murder, and littering. And that there was racism that was going around. Now all of that has been perfected in my society, no one is racist and no one makes fun of or discriminates a persons' religion.Everyone in Barcelona has a chance to have a say in things and everyone is equal. If you want, ill be your tour guide and tell you more and show you around to see if you want to live here. What do you say?

Barcelona's Governing body

The government in Barcelona is a direct democracy where all the citizens have a chance to have a say in something. The citizens of Barcelona can choose whether or not to participate in the assemblies. When Barcelona is going to solve something or is going to make decisions or laws, all of the citizens, politics, and the leader go to an assembly in the Barcel Hall. All of the participators will sit and discuss problems, laws, and on topics. After there is an agreement in what needs to be done and what shouldn't be done, everything goes back to normal except for the change that has been made.

Barcelona Rules and concequences

Barcelona Rules:

• NO one shall kill anyone
• NO one shall commit theft of any kind
• NO one shall rape anyone
• NO one shall abuse, threaten,or molest on humans or animals
• To drink, you have to be at a legal drinking age.
• NO one will drive while drunk
• NO one shall excess the legal drinking limit.
• NO one shall smoke
• Drugs such as heroin, crack, cocaine, acid, tobacco, Hydrocodone, Inhalants, LSD, MDMA, Methamphetamine, and Anabolic steroids are illegal in Barcelona. Marijuana will only be used by doctors for MEDICAL purposes ONLY to use on patients.
• To have a weapon you must have a permit. Weapons shall NOT be played with or used in killing,theft, etc.
• NO Prostitution
• NO one shall litter
• Failure to follow these rules will lead to punishment such as serving time in prison. Some of the rules above might lead to injury or death to ones self if not followed,such as drinking while driving or doing drugs.

I chose this motto because the society that i have created is a newly made up society and I think its better than the society that I'm living in. It is the shape of a shield because the people can be free and in a safe place.

Declaration of Independence

I feel that the society that I live in today is not good because there are a lot of things that need to be done. Jobs need to be restored, our economy needs to be restored also, different rules need to be set, and there are a lot of homeless people and wanted criminals out there. Not every one has the same opportunities as others because of their race such as getting good jobs, being able to attend college and universities, and getting the same medical treatments. These are the main reasons why I have decided to make a society of my own. In my society I plan to have good rules and have a place where people have a say in what they want,where majority rules. My society will be a place where the economy is strong and where there are plenty of jobs for everyone. My society will be a more free society than the one im living in, you can belive or practice whatever religion that you believe in and you can be of any race and still be a citizen and can be treated equally.

Name of My Utopian Society

For the name of my Utopian society, I chose the name of the city of Spain, Barcelona. I chose this name because I like the real city of barcelona and also because I like the name of it. My city is located at the coast of Europe. Barcelona is a clean, safe, equal, and cultural place.
